Low Profile Vented K2 Plus Riser (only 42mm additional height)

Using just 1.1kg of filament, this Low Profile Vented Riser is designed to print without supports, and has been minimized in size to use just over a kg of filament , while providing over 8000sq. mm of venting. The design (as printed) utilizes an infill ratio of just 10%.

Vents operate on a damper system which requires less than 1/4 turn on the forward facing Creality Logo knobs to move from fully open to fully closed.

Purpose:

When printing PLA, I've noticed my chamber temperature often reaches the 35 degrees that cause the Case Fan to engage to cool the interior of the machine. Cracking the door even slightly allows enough heat to escape to keep the heat below the 35 setting.

In additon, as most with a K2 Plus have already witnessed, the Bowden tube feeding the extruder can come awful close, or even rub against the top glass panel.

This design solves both problems, in a reduced space of only 42mm additional height.

Printing Instructions:

The entire assembly is currently layed out on 6 printing plates, however at your choosing, you could reduce that by printing more than one quarter of the riser at the same time.

I do recommend a Brim when printing the Assembly Parts printing plate.

Depending on your printer, there may be a few artifacts that need to be removed on the parts where bridging is required. I found them to be very minimal in all of my test prints

I do recommend test fitting and becomming familiar with all parts prior to actual assembly.
